Lena Taylor is an accomplished attorney, veteran lawmaker, and current Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge for Branch 41 in the State of Wisconsin. Across her impressive twenty-plus year career in public service, she has transitioned from a dedicated public defender and private practice attorney to an influential Wisconsin State Legislator (2003–2024) – where she championed criminal justice reform, education, and economic equity – before being appointed to the bench by Governor Tony Evers in 2024 and winning a full term in April 2025.

Mildred Coby founded “There is Hope”, an organization that has provided aid to more than 1,000 single parents. Moreover, she also founded “YL I A and Achievement Program, Inc., which served Milwaukee Public School students. This initiative was fueled by Mildred’s development of a similar program that included student mentoring, exploring career pathways, job readiness, soft skills and support for parents.
Mildred is well known and respected as a dynamic community organizer and supporter of a myriad of causes. She serves and touches on a network of more than one hundred government, community, and faith-based organizations on a near monthly basis. This network includes being an Executive Board Member for the Continuum of Care, Community Brain Storming, Inc. as VP, The Vel R. Phillips Taskforce & Foundation, and a Board Member of the Dane County Boys and Girls Club, as well as various faith-based organizations.
Mildred is also the author of Don’t Settle for the Crumbs, a self-help guide for those who need a push forward while starting over.

With her extensive experience in the healthcare field and her commitment to social and economic justice, Yolonda Morris is dedicated to representing Illinois’ 9th District and fighting for the rights and well-being of not only the 9th district but all Illinois residents.
